Engagement Efforts

The California Agricultural Land Equity Task Force conducted extensive 
statewide community engagement to inform the development of its recommendations, including a Land Access Experiences Survey, site visits, and engagement sessions with priority producers and Tribal land stewards. These efforts generated rich insights and valuable on‑the‑ground perspectives that shaped the Task Force’s recommendations. The resources below provide an opportunity to learn from the voices, experiences, and lessons shared throughout the Task Force’s engagement.

Community Engagement Sessions

The Task Force hosted engagement sessions across California to better understand communities’ challenges and resource needs and receive feedback on draft recommendations. The Task Force partnered with the University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR) to host additional

Land Access Experience Survey Report

Over 200 farmers and land stewards responded to the Land Access Experiences survey in English, Spanish and Chinese. The survey was open between October 2024-April 2025.
