Announcement New Technical Assistance Guidelines Online Toolkit Now Live

Published:

The California Strategic Growth Council (SGC) is pleased to launch a new web-based toolkit offering guidance and best practices to State agencies providing technical assistance and capacity building services. The toolkit is a more interactive version of SGC’s Technical Assistance Guidelines for State Agencies (TA Guidelines), which the Council approved in August 2020. The new resource will help users navigate the TA Guidelines, making it easier to find useful tools, tips, and best practices for designing and delivering effective technical assistance.

SGC developed the TA Guidelines – mandated by Senate Bill 1072 (2018, Leyva) – through a highly collaborative process. SGC’s Community Assistance for Climate Equity (CACE) team convened a technical assistance and capacity building work group comprising technical and capacity building experts from across 13 State agencies. While State agencies are the primary audience for the TA Guidelines, other stakeholders seeking to provide or receive TA will likely find the manual useful as well.

The TA Guidelines toolkit is a living document and SGC will add more resources - such as case studies and tools - to it over time.

To learn more and provide feedback on the TA Guidelines toolkit, join our webinar on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
