Staff from various California Strategic Growth Council (SGC) and Governor’s Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation’s (LCI) Tribal programs and initiatives will table at this year’s 57th Annual Native American Day celebration on Sept. 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event is hosted by the California Tribal Chairpersons’ Association in partnership with the State of California and will take place on the West Steps of the Capitol.
For 2024, the event will celebrate the rich history and culture of Tribes within California with an overall theme of “Recognizing 100 Years of Citizenship and the Fight for the Right to Vote: 1924-2024.” The event will feature information booths from dozens of state agencies, vendors selling authentic Native American goods and accessories, along with cultural presentations and celebrations from various Tribes.
The event is open to the public, family friendly, and free!
