These positions will help ensure the long-term stability of the HiAP Task Force, working in close partnership with HiAP staff at the California Department of Public Health to support multi-agency collaboration to advance health and equity across policy fields. These positions will also support implementation of a HiAP approach across SGC, including engaging cabinet-level Council members in HiAP work, applying a health equity lens to SGC’s grant programs, and supporting implementation of SGC’s recently approved Racial Equity Action Plan.
SGC expresses gratitude to the Public Health Institute and its foundation funders as well as the California Department of Public Health for providing leadership and staffing for this program over the last nine years, and looks forward to continued collaboration as we deepen health equity work across state government and within SGC’s own programs.
