A. Offboarding & Ongoing Engagement Post-Grant/Contract

Offboarding and ongoing engagement with a grantee or contractor is a key step to closing out a grant or contract. This includes the process of closing out the grantee’s contract and finalizing all deliverables and outstanding invoices. 

  • Throughout the contract, were there capacity building opportunities to ensure the grantee’s efforts were sustainable? 
  • Did the grantees/contractors have an option to provide feedback to assess the grant or contract’s strengths and weaknesses?

Following the close-out of a grant, the administering program staff may share resources with former grantees and continue relationship-building. 

  • How are you engaging new communities and/or audiences? Who might you be missing? How do you know?
  • Does the agency have a shared platform and/or grants update newsletter that communities can sign up for to receive ongoing news about upcoming grants?
