About Health in All Policies
Health in All Policies is a collaborative approach to improving the health of all people by incorporating health and equity considerations into decision-making across sectors and policy areas. HiAP, recognized and implemented by all levels of government around the globe, envisions cross-sector collaboration across the whole of government to use resources and expertise from multiple agencies and groups to address problems.
Health in All Policies Task Force
Established in 2010, the California Health in All Policies (HiAP) Task Force convenes over 25 State government departments and agencies to advance health, equity, and environmental sustainability. As the first state-level initiative of its kind in the United States, it has become a national and international model for promoting policies that improve health outcomes. SGC staffs and facilitates the HiAP Task Force in partnership with State of Equity (Public Health Institute) and the California Department of Public Health.
