California Strategic Growth Council

The Strategic Growth Council (SGC) is a Cabinet-level state organization that coordinates and works collaboratively across state government and with public agencies, communities, and stakeholders to achieve sustainability, equity, economic prosperity, and quality of life for all Californians. SGC programs include Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC), Sustainable Agriculture Lands Conservation (SALC), Transformative Climate Communities (TCC), Climate Change Research Program (CCR), Technical Assistance Program (TA), and Health in All Policies (HiAP). SGC is a fast-paced, creative work environment that requires staff to have strong collaboration skills, an ability to quickly respond to changing policy needs, and a positive attitude and sense of humor.

Transformative Climate Communities

The Transformative Climate Communities is a California Climate Investment Program that supports community-led development and infrastructure projects designed to achieve significant environmental, health, and economic benefits in California’s most disadvantaged communities. TCC is a high profile, politically sensitive program dedicated to empowering the communities most impacted by pollution to choose their community vision, strategies and projects to enact transformational change – all with data-driven milestones and measurable outcomes. TCC-funded projects require adherence to a strict set of program guidelines and state criteria. Under the general direction of the TCC Program Manager and the day-to-day supervision of the TCC Senior Program Analyst, the Program Analyst and Program Associate will conduct the following activities, below.

  • Program Analyst
    The Program Analyst position will support the implementation of infrastructure projects and community engagement activities at the following five sites across California: Fresno, Ontario, Sacramento, and the Pacoima and Watts neighborhoods of Los Angeles.
  • Program Associate
    The Program Associate will assist with the selection of additional communities to participate in the TCC Program through the development of the Round III Program Guidelines, application materials, and competitive review process.
