The Strategic Growth Council (SGC) is a Cabinet-level state organization that coordinates and works collaboratively across state government and with public agencies, communities, and stakeholders to achieve sustainability, equity, economic prosperity, and quality of life for all Californians. SGC programs include Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC), Sustainable Agriculture Lands Conservation (SALC), Transformative Climate Communities (TCC), Climate Change Research (CCR), Regional Climate Collaboratives (RCC), Technical Assistance (TA), and Health in All Policies (HiAP). SGC is a fast-paced, creative work environment that requires staff to have strong collaboration skills, an ability to quickly respond to changing policy needs, and a positive attitude and sense of humor.

Regional Climate Collaboratives Program

Building off of the success of SGC’s Technical Assistance Program, the Regional Climate Collaboratives Program is a new program focused on providing technical assistance and capacity-building services to assist under-resourced communities to build the community-driven leadership, knowledge, skills, experience, and resources needed to support climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies in their community, as well as identify and access public funding.

The California Strategic Growth Council (SGC) is currently seeking a Regional Climate Collaboratives Program Manager, Program Analyst, and Program Assistant to form a new team at SGC. See links below for the job description and duty statements. The positions are located in Sacramento.

  • Senior Projects Analyst - Regional Climate Collaboratives Program Manager

    $6,500-$7,532 per month
    Under the general direction of the SGC Executive Director and the day-to-day supervision of the SGC Deputy Director, the Regional Climate Collaboratives Program Manager leads the design of the Regional Climate Collaboratives program and works with program awardees, contractors, State agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure successful development, implementation and evaluation of the Regional Climate Collaboratives awards in adherence with SB 1072 (Leyva, Chapter 377, Statutes of 2018) and technical assistance contracts. Position has three direct reports and requires strong managerial skills.

  • Staff Intergovernmental Program Analyst – Regional Climate Collaboratives Program Analyst

    $5,240-$6,500 per month
    Under the general direction of the Regional Climate Collaboratives Program Manager, the Regional Climate Collaboratives Program Analyst supports the design of the Regional Climate Collaboratives program and works with program awardees, project leads, and other stakeholders to ensure successful development, implementation and evaluation of Regional Climate Collaboratives awards.

  • Assistant Intergovernmental Program Analyst - Regional Climate Collaboratives Program Assistant

    $4,141-$5,384 per month
    Under the general direction of the Regional Climate Collaboratives Program Manager, the Regional Climate Collaboratives Program Assistant will work with program awardees, contractors, and State agencies to ensure successful implementation and evaluation of Regional Climate Collaboratives awards and Technical Assistance contracts. The Regional Climate Collaboratives Program Assistant will support the Regional Climate Collaboratives Program Analyst and the Community Assistance Program Manager and be the primary liaison to SGC’s administrative team.
