Announcement Public Comment Period Now Open on Draft Guidelines for AHSC Round 6

The California Strategic Growth Council (SGC) is excited to release the Draft Round 6 Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) Program Guidelines (the “Draft Guidelines”). The public comment period for this draft is open from September 16, 2020 to October 16, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. We value your input! Please submit all comments to SGC by email at ahsc@sgc.ca.gov. To request a version of the Draft Guidelines with changes tracked, send an email request to ahsc@sgc.ca.gov.

To assist with your understanding of the changes proposed in the Draft Guidelines, SGC will publish a memo explaining their intent and expected consequences. SGC will post this memo in the coming days to the AHSC resources webpage and publicize it by email to the AHSC list.

In addition, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) posted the Round 6 Draft AHSC Benefits Calculator Tool and supporting Draft AHSC Quantification Methodology at www.arb.ca.gov/cci-resources. The public comment period for these drafts is from September 16, 2020 to September 30, 2020 at 11:50 p.m. A step-by-step user guide for the AHSC Benefits Calculator Tool, including a sample project, is available within the tool. Answers to frequently asked questions, including guidance for transit agency partners, are available at www.arb.ca.gov/cci-resources. Submit comments on the Draft AHSC Benefits Calculator Tool and Draft AHSC Quantification Methodology to GGRFProgram@arb.ca.gov.
