Announcement Request for Proposals: Capacity Building for Local Governments

Published:

The California Strategic Growth Council (SGC) is pleased to release a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking technical assistance (TA) providers to support our latest capacity building effort. This program will provide tailored assistance to under-resourced local governments, helping advance their sustainability and equity goals. The program aims to equip 5–7 under-resourced communities with the necessary skills, tools, and resources to achieve local objectives related to: climate mitigation and greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction; climate adaptation and resiliency; environmental justice and racial equity; COVID-19 recovery; and community-engaged planning.

The selected TA provider will develop a capacity building roadmap and implementation strategy for each community, which will include the scope of TA activities to be provided. These include:

  • Trainings
  • Partnership development
  • Community engagement and planning support
  • Grant application assistance
  • Communications support

The deadline to submit proposals is May 3, 2021 by 5:00 p.m. PT.
