The California Strategic Growth Council (SGC) is pleased to invite public comment on the Draft Round 1 Regional Climate Collaboratives Program (RCC) Guidelines. RCC is a new grant program that will support under-resourced communities to build the capacity needed to secure and implement funding for climate change mitigation and adaptation projects. The public comment period runs from February 8, 2022, to March 15, 2022, at 5:00 p.m.
This draft incorporates feedback received through four public listening sessions, focus groups, and key informant interviews conducted throughout Fall 2021. To understand the development of this draft, please refer to this overview memo and engagement summary report. Feedback received by the March 15, 2022, deadline will inform a final version of the draft guidelines, which SGC will post on its website in mid-April in advance of SGC’s public meeting on April 26, 2022.
Providing Public Comment
SGC is accepting written comments submitted to TA@sgc.ca.gov.
SGC is also hosting a series of public workshop to gather feedback. There will be four regional workshops that include an optional networking session for attendees to meet and connect with potential co-applicants. The delineation of regions for the workshop is only a suggestion to better facilitate relationship building. Attendees are encouraged to participate based on their preference and are welcome to attend multiple networking sessions if their work spans multiple regions. The final workshop is open to all interested stakeholders who were unable to attend a prior workshop. (Updated 2/25/2022)
