Community Resilience Centers Planning Grant Applications Due Sept. 4

The application deadline for California Strategic Growth Council’s Community Resilience Centers (CRC) Program Round 2 Planning Grants is days away!

About CRC Round 2

Building on knowledge gained from the first round of funding, CRC Round 2 offers approximately $55 million in funding for two grant types, Implementation and Planning Grants, to grow neighborhood-level capacity for climate emergency preparedness. The CRC Program makes strategic investments to fund the planning, construction, and retrofit of community resilience centers and advance local communities’ long-term capacity to respond to and recover from climate emergencies.

Planning Grants

Eligible activities include partnership development, community needs assessments, feasibility studies, site assessments, permitting, fiscal impact analysis, updating climate action plans, and designing community engagement plans.
Purpose: prepare communities for future implementation of projects
Grants of $100,000 to $500,000
Two-year grant term

CRC Application Process

All application materials can be accessed via the CRC Round 2 webpage. All applications must be submitted through the online platform, Submittable. SGC will not accept late applications or application revisions after the application deadline.
